driveweekend

where are we driving this weekend?

Drop a starting point, add the places you're curious about, and watch the real road distance and drive time appear. Then shape it into a full weekend: itinerary, honest costs, packing, one link for the crew.

01 /// pick your places

start with real places

Search a town, a road, a viewpoint — or begin from where you are. Everything runs on real map data, and only when you act.

Waze and Apple Maps take one destination per link; Google Maps takes the whole route. Your points travel inside your share link.

    good to know

Is the route a real road route?

Yes. Pin your starting point and the places you want to reach, and driveweekend calculates the actual road route, distance and driving time from OpenStreetMap data. The weekend plan builds itself on that route, and every point opens directly in Google Maps, Waze or Apple Maps. No pins yet? The plan falls back to honest typical distances for your kind of trip.

    How accurate are the costs?

Fuel is calculated from your real consumption and local price. Food, stays and extras use honest per-person rates for your budget mood, plus a 10% buffer because weekends never go exactly to plan. Treat it as a solid envelope, not an invoice. The full method is in the cost guide.

    Where is my data stored?

Nowhere, by default. There's no account and no server database. Your plan lives entirely in the link itself, and packing-list ticks stay on your device. Bookmark it, send it, or lose it forever. Your call. The one exception is by invitation only: if you opt into our occasional email dispatches (when offered), that address is stored for that single purpose — details in the privacy policy.

    Is driveweekend really free?

Yes. No login, no paywall, no cookies, no tracking. If that ever changes, it'll be with clearly marked partnerships, never with your data.
